FINAL GRADES POSTED
This class is an investigation of local artists of North Carolina- Specifically: Artspace (across the street from Moore Square). Students will research, compile and discuss the attributes of 3, different artists' works and their methods. Continued development of students' painting and drawing skills throughout the class. Students will create original artwork based on the characteristics of these artists. Students will create a 4th project OF AN ARTIST THEY SELECT (and approved by Mr. Kreacic) based on these artist's techniques and media. Assignments will be complied in student digital portfolios for grading and critiquing.

There are 4 total projects to complete for the class (3 group artist study and 1 independent)
Students use the following deadlines as ¨Benchmarks¨: to pace themselves to completing all 4 before the end of the Quarter 2
Projects can be worked on at home and turned in after the ¨due date", but none are accept after the FINAL DEADLINE. (Friday, December 13th)

Step #1
Utilize the ARTSPACENC.org website's Artist Directory to find an artwork you like.
ALSO: RESEARCH the ARTIST'S NAME in GOOGLE for their PROFESSIONAL WEB SITE for MORE OF THEIR ARTWORK TO CHOOSE FROM.

Step #2:
Create a SKETCH of the artwork that you are going to create FROM the ARTSPACE ARTIST'S image. You can add, change and alter from the original artwork BUT there has to be some resemblance to artist's work.
Step #3:
Present your sketch Idea to Mr. Kreacic. You will get the "Green Light" to start your project OR you will discuss changes / alterations or he will re-direct you to another artwork BEFORE you can start.
Step #4:
Once you've got the "green light" from Mr. Kreacic, complete the project AS DISCUSSED with Mr. Kreacic. Your RUBRIC is the PLAN YOU AGREED UPON WITH Mr. KREACIC. (Changes or deviation from that plan will lower your grade)
Step #5:
TURN IN your project (in your Digital Portfolio)
