Drawing 1 & 2
Drawing will include work in the following areas: pencil, pen & ink, oil & chalk pastels and mixed media. Instructional strategies in this class will include discussions and studio activities in both small and large group settings. To aid student learning, resources such as slides, reproductions, art materials, websites, journals, and texts may be utilized. Students will complete 4-5 major art projects, emphasizing the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. Students explore general Art History and are introduced to the steps of Art Criticism. While students are encouraged to always create art at home, most projects can be completed in class with the time given. Students that cannot complete projects using class time need to take them home to complete (homework).
